We create a cohesive design that aligns with your style, budget and preferences and then manage the ordering, tracking and delivery of those products. You are kept up-to-date every step of the way through delivery so you can successfully manage all the other details and timelines for your project.

Mid LEVEL DESIGN PROCESS

OFFERINGS

1. Paint & Wallpaper

We select the perfect paint palette, wallpaper and feature wall designs for your home, with complimentary trim, ceiling and door selections. This service is for a minimum of 3 rooms or up to the whole house. Several factors impact how colors look inside of home from the direction of natural light, artificial lighting, exterior and interior surroundings, paint finishes and the way light shifts throughout the day. We narrow down selections and then provide samples so you can view them in your home to ensure the colors are optimal during the times you use the space. We then provide you with what you need to complete the job on your own, ensuring a smooth process from start to finish.

2. Lighting

The perfect lighting plan and fixtures enhance the beauty of a room and are a critical component of good design and well-being. This service is for a minimum of five lighting selections for your home - or - a detailed lighting plan with fixture selections for one room. We select the perfect fixtures for your spaces to update the look and feel of your home. Our lighting plan focuses on enhancing the overall lighting of a room, from overhead to task lighting. We consider the mood and create visual interest. Once selections are approved, we order and track delivery and provide updates on arrival to ensure they are on-site for your scheduled installation.

3. Furniture

Furniture is typically the most significant investment you will make in a room. When choosing furniture, there are many details that are important to consider. Size, functionality, comfort, style, quality, maintenance, budget and customization options all play a role in choosing the right piece. Furniture also impacts how much you and your family enjoy spending time in the room. This service is for a minimum of three furniture selections. We spend time understanding the details that are most important to you and then select the perfect pieces to complement your needs, style and budget. We then procure, track and oversee the white glove delivery of your furniture to mitigate any damages that occur.

4. Accessories & Styling

Accessories and styling can be some of the most challenging aspects to get right. Thoughtful decor selections combine color, texture, and style to make the room cohesive and intentional. It also allows you to showcase your taste, personality, and interests, making your space uniquely yours. This service is for completing the accessories in one or more rooms, making selections that add depth and character, and incorporating enduring pieces that are meaningful to you. We then manage the procurement of your accessories and style your space to create a meaningful and enjoyable room for you and your family.

5. Kitchen & Bath Finishes

Are you planning a kitchen or bath renovation? Do you have a contractor that is not a design-build company? If so, you are responsible for selecting the finishes for your renovation, which is where we can help. This service handles all the finish selections for one room in your home. We know it can be challenging to choose countertops, cabinetry, backsplashes, and hardware that feel modern but won't become outdated too quickly. Renovation projects are an investment, and once they are completed, they will typically not be changed for 10, 20, 30 years or more. We make selections to ensure your money is well spent, focusing on timeless finishes you can enjoy for many years. We also coordinate with you and your contractor to meet delivery deadlines so you can manage timelines and expectations for your project.

6. Window Treatments

Choosing the right window treatments for your home is an important consideration. They regulate the natural light in a room, provide privacy, enhance the look and feel of a space and protect floors and furniture from the sun. Window treatments are one of the final pieces in a design plan and they help set the overall mood you want for your room and home. Heavier fabrics create a sense of luxury and lighter, airier fabrics invite a relaxed feel to a space. This service is for one or more rooms in your home. We work with you to understand your vision so we can narrow down your preferences to complement your existing space. We choose the perfect fabric, texture, and color for your project, then procure and schedule installation, handling all the details for you.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

What can I expect at the consultation?

Our Mid Level Design consultation is a 60-minute consultation that provides an excellent opportunity to see your space, meet everyone who will be involved in the project, and create a detailed scope of work.

We begin the consultation by discussing your project and allowing you time to share the problems and challenges you experience in the room. We then considered options for the products we will be selecting, brainstorming ideas and identifying your must have's. Lastly, we create a scope of work for the project and make sure we have a clear understanding of expected timelines, budget and project goals.

We then provide you with an estimate along with the scope of work. If you decide at that point to not move forward, we will provide you with the notes and ideas we gathered during our consultation for your personal use.

Can I purchase my own products?

Unfortunately, no. As an interior designer, the core of my business is building and maintaining my vendor relationships so that I can give my clients the VIP service they are hiring me for.

It is both a benefit to you and our business to manage the ordering and delivery of your products. We are able to resolve issues on your behalf and get detailed information about products that can be difficult and sometimes impossible to gather from 3rd party vendors.

If you have a strong desire to shop the lowest price and purchase products yourself, then our Entry Level Design is a better fit for you.

Is there a minimum budget for Mid Level Design?

Our Mid Level Design does not have a minimum project budget, but it should be weighed against your overall budget for your furnishings, finishes or renovation project.

Our starting fee is $1950, but the design fee does increase depending on which of the six offerings you choose and how much you would like us to do. For example, window treatments for one room versus the whole house is going to be a significantly different fee or combining two or three services instead of only choosing one will affect the price. Projects are always based on the scope of work, so it's important to know that your design investment could be $5,000 or $10,000, depending on what you would like help with.

How do you present your ideas for Mid Level Designs?

We present our ideas through samples, floor plans, images, illustrations, and product boards.

For our Mid Level Design, we provide two presentations during the creative design process.

Our first presentation is our Project Direction Meeting. This is scheduled one to two weeks after our agreement is signed and the first invoice is paid. At this meeting, we narrow down selection styles and preferences. It also allows us to ask clarifying questions and understand what you like and don't like before making final decisions.

We will then schedule our Design Presentation Meeting three weeks later. We present the final design at this meeting, highlighting everything we chose and why.

Once the design is approved, we will order and track the shipment and delivery of your products, keeping you informed with weekly updates. During this time, we are also happy to talk with your tradesperson or contractor to provide details for installation.

How do you communicate throughout the project?

We handle most of our communication by email and phone.

Throughout the project, you will receive updates every Monday on what was completed the previous week and what is on the schedule for the upcoming week.

We reach out to you by phone when things require immediate attention or we need to relay important information that is better communicated by phone.

We respond to emails twice a day during business hours, ensuring a regular and consistent communication process.

You are also welcome to contact us during office hours, Monday through Friday, 9 am-5 pm. If you reach our voicemail, we will return your call as soon as possible.

Do you welcome client involvement?

Your input is a crucial component to the success of your project that is why all of our services have specific benchmarks where we gather information from you to ensure we align with your preferences.

The first benchmark is after the Complementary Discovery Call. Based on our discussion, we send you a questionnaire to gather more details about your preferences, which helps us prepare more effectively for your consultation.

The second benchmark is the consultation. It is a highly collaborative time of exchanging ideas and narrowing down the direction of your project.

The third benchmark is the Project Direction Meeting. This is where we gather very specific information that helps us understand your preferences so we can make selections that perfectly align with you.

The fourth benchmark is the Design Presentation Meeting. This meeting provides one last opportunity to make any final changes to the design before we move forward with procurement.
